follow up review with LTTLabs data
20k local dimming zones validated.
contrast ratios are off the scale.
includes dolbyvision and hdr10+.
15ms latency so not great for competitive games.
dynamic tonemapping is not configurable.

final gotcha, linus' unit has 1 dead pixel
 
[sad trombone.wav] TCL is releasing the tv in NA as a different model number in Q3 or Q4 2024. sadly for linus, Hisense is coming out with a 110" 40k local dimming zone tv.
i wonder if QD and mini oled will extend the life of conventional tft lcd pixel gates and kill off just pure rgb oled or micro oled(not as backlight).
 
So did anyone else have in their head the "Baaah bah bah baaaaaaaaaahhhhhnnnnn" sound from "The Price is Right" play in their heads when they saw the [sad trombone.wav]?
