Linksys WUSB11 v2.5 and updateing drivers...? HELP!

I just bought a pair of WUSB11 2.5 boxes to network my two computers together in Ad-hoc mode (until I get an access point). I installed the drivers and it works, but I checked on Linksys website and it says that they have newer drivers. I downloaded the newest drivers (dated 1/4/02) and tried to install them. I get the following error:


"The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display"


What am I doing wrong? After I get the error I have to do a System Restore (Win XP) in order to get it to work properly. Linksys tech support has not been helpful.

Any ideas?
