I've had this router for about 3 years now. I upgraded the firmware to 4.2.1 (latest from Linksys). My problem is that sometimes, when I unplug it and plug it back in, it loses the ability to route to the default gateway.
I have a PC, my Linksys, and a DLink cable modem. If I take the PC and plug it into the cable modem directly it works. I can go into the diagnostics screen and ping dns names with no problem on the wireless router itself, but for some reason, all my network devices (wired and wireless) cannot get out.
From my PC, I can ping the WRT54G and go into the setup on it, but when I try to get out, I just get DNS erros. Does anyone know of any Device issues that would cause this? It happened about 2 months ago and installing the 4.2.1 firmware fixed the issue. I had it working last night for about 2 hours, but I woke up this morning and lost connectivity again.
