My linksys wrt54g v3 Firmware Version: v4.30.5 supports wpa and wpa2 for wireless secuirty. From what i've been told, it more secure than wep. Does my wireless card's have to support wpa and wpa 2, or just the operating system has to support it?
 
I'm pretty sure your network cards also have to support which ever security protocol you choose.
