Hmm, tempting. But, a lot of bad reviews on Newegg. And one comment that the WRT1200AC
v2 does NOT have DD-WRT available. Honestly, that's the only reason that I would want one of these.
I bought some TrendNet Gigabit / AC1200 routers months ago for $20 ea. new from Newegg, a couple of times that they had sales, and flashed one of them to DD-WRT. Other than the fact that they run really hot, those were the cheapest AC1200 DD-WRT routers that I've found.
And I've only recently picked up a whole bunch of Tenda AC1200 "high power" routers, for $20 ea. (refurb) on Newegg's ebay site.
And I think I paid $45 for my TrendNet AC1200 routers (non-DD-WRT compatible) a few years ago.
$65 for what is essentially a Belkin AC1200 router, is kinda pricey, even if it does have brand-name cachet.
Edit: I decided in the end to buy a couple, if nothing else just to resell, and experiment with one of them, but alas, they went OOS while I was typing this and reading the reviews. Better for me anyways, I guess.
