linksys wireless limiting outgoing connections

I bought a linksys wrt54gs, and everything works fine except it limits out going connections , basicly , when i use proxyscanning software, i cannot surf the net or do anything at the same time cause it wont send out the request....I know windows sp2 limits outgoing connections to 10 , but i have a patch where i can change it to any value i want , so thats not the problem....

Was wondering if anyone knew how to stop the router from limiting me to a certain amount of outgoing connections
