how do i put one on and stop other people from getting on my internet?? i could never figure this out... i got a wireless-b router

have to use a password thats case sensitive upper case letters or lower case letters. combine the two for example AedDErtyUI4356 makes its harder for hacker programs to figure out what your password is. dont use common words like cat....dog .....those are to easy for them to get to. use a mixture of letters and numbers that doesnt make up a word.

Try logging in to your router. Usually 192.168.1.1. Assuming you haven't changed any settings before the default username should be blank. Password will be 'admin' (don't type the quotes :D)

There will be an option in there for changing the router's password. I'm assuming that is what you want to do?

Just configure the router to only accept the MAC address of your machine (laptop I'm presuming?).. done deal
