Linksys Router with Counterstrike

I have a BEFSR41 Linksys Router with 4 ports. I just upgrade to latest firmgrade 1.45.6 (june 24, 2003). After completeing the upgrade, my counter strike game cannot get into games. it can update server and view info, but when i start to connect... it says "Retrying xx.xxx.xxx.xxxxxx" 4 times and then it says "Failed to connect after 4 retrys."

I have heard that there are problems with the latest firmgrade and counterstrike. does anyone know how to fix this? many thanks.

I have no problems at all I just made sure that the port 27015 and 27005 was open.

CS 1.6 is out now, that could be why you can't connect to anything
You shouldn't need to open any of those ports unless you are trying to run your own server.

1.6 being out does not, as yet, prevent people from playing 1.5.
My 1.5 server and game are still running fine.

I had problems with hl/cs 2 years ago when I used to have a linksys, that site has a linksys dedicated forum that answered my questions.

I don't know if this was resolved but using the 1.45.6 firmware didn't work for me at all. Surfing/downloading slowed to a crawl and no online games worked. I switched back to 1.44.2z and it all works fine again. I sent an email to linksys about this but got no response. This was about 2 months ago. I see they now have 1.45.7 up, might have to try that.
