Ok. I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I was having troubles with my cable company and we switched from their modem, back to my linksys modem. However, I dont think that matter in this case.
I unplugged my router to do a power cycle, plug it back in, and the power button is flashing, the cisco light(that has NEVER come on, shows white, then orange) and my computer can't connect to the router. I tried restarting my computer, tried power cycling the router, reseting the router, everything you can think of, and still nothing. I simpley cant get a connection to the router. I looked up the problem on the linksys website and they claim that when the power light it flashing, that the firmware needs to be updated. However, how the heck am I supposed to do this if I can't connect to the router? Is my router shot? Should I take it back and get another router?
