I use the Linksys router with my Red Hat box. The router is BEFSR41. However, I can't access the box through outside like telnet and IP number. ALso I use Verizon DSL .. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks a lot

Are you saying you can't access outside resources (no connection to internet) or you can't access your FTP, web server, etc. from outside your network?

Clone the MAC adress of the computer which had the DSL installed oryginally, to the linksys router, and you should be all set?
Also make sure that the "firewall" function of the linky is not set to block these services.

MAC cloning is only necessary if your ISP only allows access to to one MAC address.
You need to open some ports for that machine on the router and it should work (ie. web:80, FTP:21 ).
