Linksys Router Problem

In Houston, waiting for Rita to pass by, I have this router (BEFSR41 v2) and its working fine. Everynow and then the power went up and down, but the router was on a surge protector, the cable modem was on a battery backup, I didn't realize that I didn't have the router on batteryback up. So anyhow, it held up fine and then after another power surge the Router stopped functioning correctly. The symtome is as described above (Blinking RED LED for Diag/WAN) Link is green but the ACT isn't blinking. Tried reseting, tried "power cycling" all that stuff. It wont obtain the IP correctly on the LAN. Don't know what else to do. I'm thinking it got surged. What are your suggestions?

edit/update: went to Linksys Technical support... Blinking red Diag means that the firmware won't load right... but when my computer is connected to the router the IP can't even be obtained anymore, and w/o getting an IP I can't even update the firmware :/. Never should have hit the reset button! I was actually able to get into firmware before I hit the reset. Damn! what to do now?
