Linksys router just quit... any body else?

Linksys 8-port router just quit working and I get a red diag light. Manual says #$%* about errors, and they must be saving the trees. I was given another one that wont even power up. Are these things fix able, or are they trash and go with netgear or a old 486 home make?

Mine recently died after several years of service. No diag light for me. It just refuses to route anymore. No joy after multiple resets.

I can't speak for Netgear quality, having only used the Linksys. I'll probably convert my current rig to a FreeBSD router after I complete my new system.
