Linksys router doesn't like Starcraft

My roommate wants to play Starcraft behind our Linksys router with 4 port switch, but everytime he tries to play it lags like crazy and he can't play. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Check with the manufacturer of StarCraft and see if they know of any problems. Also, DSL Reports might have something about it as well.
