Linksys router and MW4

Anyone figure out how to configure a Linksys router for a Mechwarrior 4 game server? People keep getting page script errors when playing on my server, and I am almost positive it's the router. I disconnected the router and ran the cable modem directly to the server, and no one got the errors.

I have the BEFSR41, and I have forwarded ports and gone on the DMZ. Server is set to static IP (internal) and I have the latest firmware as well. I'm pretty much perplexed on this enigma.

I take it you've checked out all the resources at Linksys.com, like this one?

What version is your firmware?

You might want to look at some of the posts, like this one in this forum. It's a Mac forum, but that may not matter.

I have checked the Linksys site and downloaded the latest firmware. I have also followed the instructions regarding port forwarding, dmz, and static ip's (well as best as I could seeing as the directions do not coincide with the latest firmware layout).

I neglected to say that this is on 2000 server.

System:

dual celeron 500's
Abit BP6
3com NIC (3c905TX I think is the designation)
256 mb ECC pc-100 ram
Canopus Spectra 2500 (TNT) video (btw, if anyone has found a stable Nvidia ref driver for this card that supports DirectX8, please let me know)
Maxtor 45gig 7200 HD
WD 30 gig 7200 HD
WD 20 gig 5400 HD
Seagate 9 gig 7200 HD
Soundblaster Live Value

Maybe some of these might help.

There are a lot of entries in the Mac forum (down the page). True, it's for Macs, but maybe it won't matter in this case.

Okay - I can't get the link to work unless I right-click and choose "Open" - it's a Metacrawler search for "dsl dmz problems".

Let me know what happens. I am purchasing one of these routers today since I need to get some type of networked situation up at my house if I ever want to get to my computer! (we just got DSL this morning).
