Linksys Router and DCC sends

I think this is the right forum for this 🙂

I can't get dcc sends to work using my router
its a minor pain but i'd love to get it working if anyone knows how
i've got the BEFSR41
thanks for any help 🙂

i've tried that as well but that only works if they have a dcc server enabled
its something with the router thats the problem which i can't figure out
doesnt work in bx either

I am able to DCC send people from behind my router... there is a way.. I'm not sure the exact way though. Keep trying.

Do you have the router blocking any of the ports?
I think DCC sends use a diff port than what mIRC uses for chat so you may want to check on that. I don't use a router but I do use firewall software and just having the mIRC port open was not good enough. I disabled the firewall briefly and bang there goes the send. I forget which port it ended up being I'll try and check when I get home.

that'd be great if you can
i don't have any ports currently blocked at the moment
i've tried everything i can think of and can't figure it out
even tried to specify a port in bitchx but still no go
