Linksys Range expander and MIMO

I just upgraded my network to a SRX400 and had a couple of questions:

1. Does the SRX400 benefit from having the Linksys Range Expander?

2. Will the SRX400 stuff I got (router, PCMCIA card for laptop) work with the upcoming new wireless standard?
