Whats best for PPPoE DSL so I keep the same IP longer. Connect on demand or Keep alive redial???
Also what setting shoudl I use.. ie Minutes/Secs

Thanks,

Connect on demand will probably disconnect you after the connection is idle for a certain period of time. Keep alive will probably not disconnect, and then will relogin if your ISP forcibly disconnects you if they have a time limit. Either way, no guarantee you'll keep the same IP after you reconnect, but keepalive will try to maintain your one connection the longest it can.

You're probably violating your terms of service with your ISP by running a server anyway. 🙂 See if you can get a static IP for a few bucks extra, or find a provider that can give you one for a similar price that you're paying now. Covad's only 70 bucks for 1.5/384 with a static IP. Speakeasy is 100 bucks for 1.5/768 with two IPs.
