Linksys PSUS4 not being recognized

I just got a PSUS4 wired printserver / 4 port switch. A Samsung ML-1020 (known to work with this device from research) is connected via USB. The PSUS4 is connected to a Linksys WRT54GL router. My main PC is wired to the router.

I cannot get the Linksys Setup Wizard program to recognize the PSUS4; it is missing from the 'Choose a Device' list, and you cannot enter it in manually. The router sees it as connected and gives an IP address; I can ping that IP address, too. At first I thought: No big deal, I'll just use the web interface. When I try to use that, it refuses to load. If I hit stop (in IE or FF), it gives a partially loaded web interface. I was able to get to the upgrade firmware section of the web interface, but it doesn't appear to upgrade anything (version mnumber doesn't change). I reset it to defaults (unplug, hold reset, plug in, continue to hold reset for 10 sec). I lastly tried to tftp the .bin firmware file over, but it timed out. Is there anything else I can try to get this working? Anyone else own one and have issues / success with it?

I haven't played with this particular device, but when in doubt default it if you haven't tried this already.

Yeah, that was really the first thing I tried. I'll update the OP.

OK, maybe it's a firewall setting / NIC incompatibility. I was able to get to and configure it from my laptop (an HP with a Broadcom built-in wireless NIC). My main PC (in sig, uses an nForce4 SLI chipset) won't connect unless I completely disable the nVidia firewall. I managed to install the print server and printer driver with the Firewall disabled, but as soon as I enable the Firewall, any printing fails w/a "Print_Server connect failed" message. I can't tell from the program or the WinXP printer settings what port it's using; it just says the name of the printserver with no further info (unlike setting up an IP port printer, which says port numbr 9100, RAW, etc.). Anyone know what port(s) this thing is using or how to get the nVidia firewall to allow it to run?

More oddness here. If I set up the printer to print via Standard TCP printing (IP_192.168.1.2), it prints fine. What is Linksys using for their printing protocol? It's obviously not line IP!

Ugh. After a week or so of working with various tech support people on this thing, I have decided to just remove the nVidia firewall. Maybe some reincarnation of NAM will actually work as advertised with out doing random buggy stuff like this.
