I can't even play counstrike under the linksys router , i have it on DMZ , and i have the port forwarded, and it still frezz up my game after one round or so, but after i disconnect the router, everything back to normal again... hELP thanks

The game feezes or your PC freezes? This doesn't sound like a router problem, more like you have your network settings wrong.

i did get the newest update, i am using win2k, everything is fine before i use router, game froze when i use router,
if it is my network settings wrong then i shoulnd't be able to play at all, but i was able to play for a bit.
i was thinking about network setting too but i just can't figure it out where and what's wrong

FWIW, CS works fine using my linksys router. The only problem I've had is actually hosting a dedicated CS server behind the router. There's a known problem with the linksys routers dropping clients after a few minutes.

I have had some issues with Halflife/TFC similar to yours. I use PPOE and have found that if I use one of the networked systems to sign on and tell it to never sign off the problem is resolved. If I begin to download servers without setting up another system to sign on I almost always lose the connection and need to cycle power.
