Linksys Print Server and HP 2200D communication Problems

I just got a new HP Laserjet 2200D printer for my network here, i plugged it into my Linksys EPSX3 3Port Print Server only to find it does not work on there! Gives me an error that the port is busy. i tried all three ports and even disconnected the other printers (which work fine). i plugged the 2200 into my computer and it works fine also. i know the printserver and printer work, and the cable is good (tested when i connected it to my computer). any ideas on a sollution to this? trying to print from Win2K. Thanks!

Sounds odd.. The only suggestion I can make at this moment is did you try increasing the "timeout" in your printer driver parameters when it's hooked up to the print server..?

Haven't tried that, not sure if it would help. the error happens as soon as i print a testpage, instantaneous. I will try and see what happens though!
