linksys KVM question: ps/2 power?

I have a a linksys SVIEW04 v2 KVM switch, without the power adapter it comes with.
do any of you own this switch and know if can get power from the PS/2? I plugged it in and nothing lights up, but I don't know how I would tell if it's working - I've never used it before.

It should self power from the ps2. you cannot hotplug the device. You must shut down your machines and connect all the cables then power the machines on one at a time. Of course if you have a Mac machine you will have to get the power adapter.
