Linksys KVM acting flaky - Static/Wavy screen

Just purchased a KVM for the first time,but seem to be having some problems.
Not sure if its the KVM going bad,or a cabling problem.

Model of KVM is: ps2kvm2 - the 2-Port Switch
2 Belkin Pro Series VGA Cables - (Thinking this was problem)
Monitor - KDS 17" VS7e
Vid Card - GF3 64Mb
Win 2000 Pro


After hooking it up and getting to the Win 2000 Splash Screen,i could notice a bit of static in the picture.
Then after getting into windows,there was quite a bit of Fuzz/Static in the display and the screen was jumpy.

Heres what i tried:

-800 x 600,High Color 16,85 Herts Refresh (This was my main Desktop setting) Fuzz/Wavy in background with Jumpy Screen

-800 x 600,High Color 16,70 Herts Refresh - Same fuzz/wavs in background,but wasn't jumping

-640 x 480,High Color, 70 herts - not much fuzz/wavs - But still noticable


I tried the KVM on another system/Different Monitor and it worked perfect.

Other system had:

GF2 GTS - Sony 17" Monitor

I'm guessing its not compat with the KDS Monitor,and or GF3.

If anyone knows what the problem may be,i'd appreciate any info on this.

Noticed someone else is having a similiar problem on here with this Model.
could something like the surge protector being causing this?

Its setting right beside it.

Gonna try and move it else where and see what happens.
