Just purchased a KVM for the first time, but seem to be having some problems.
Not sure if its the KVM going bad,or a cabling problem.
Model of KVM is: ps2kvm2 - the 2-Port Switch
2 Belkin Pro Series VGA Cables - (Thinking this was problem)
Monitor - KDS 17" VS7e
Vid Card - GF3 64Mb
Win 2000 Pro
After hooking it up and getting to the Win 2000 Splash Screen,i could notice a bit of static in the picture.
Then after getting into windows, there was quite a bit of Fuzz/Static in the display and the screen was jumpy.
Heres what i tried:
-800 x 600,High Color 16,85 Herts Refresh (This was my main Desktop setting) Fuzz/Wavy in background with Jumpy Screen
-800 x 600,High Color 16,70 Herts Refresh - Same fuzz/wavs in background,but wasn't jumping
-640 x 480,High Color, 70 herts - not much fuzz/wavs - But still noticable
I tried the KVM on another system/Different Monitor and it worked perfect.
Other system had:
GF2 GTS - Sony 17" Monitor
I'm guessing its not compat with the KDS Monitor, and or GF3.
If anyone knows what the problem may be,i'd appreciate any info on this.
Shawn.
