linksys dsl router +quake3 problem!

I seem to have problems running quake3 through the linksys dsl router. half-life and other games work fine

problem:
after a few mins of connecting to a quake3 server, it suddenly, out of nowhere, reconnects, loads up all the misc, then I get a message "connection interrupted" and "version needs to be updated"

then.. i took out the router and did a direct connect to my dsl modem. no problems.

anyone else having the same problem?
help?
can someone try it if they have quake3?

THANKS

Is the Router set up to be a DHCP server or have you manually defined the IP addresses? Try manually specifying them and see if that helps.

i've got my linksys router working fine for q3. only thing i cant do is play on the same server with both computers
