Linksys BEFW11S4 Router and WinXp--set up questions

Well I am looking over the installation booklet which came with this router. No metion of WinXP and Linksys's website is also lacking any WinXP info concerning this router. I

I am currently using Mindspring/Earthlink DSL. Linksys's support page states that the PPPoE software from the ISP must be removed. Since XP has its own PPPoE, do I have to disable anything in XP? I there a guide for setting this Router up with WinXP and wireless PC card (WPC11)?

FWIW...I have flashed the router to the latest firmware and have the XP driver for the PC card.

...its going to be a long night.

Thanks in advance

Not sure if this helps, but the linksys router should work no matter what os your are using. I have never used PPPoE, but have seen the settings for it on my linksys router, so basically i would suggest you disable PPPoE on the XP machine and configure it on the router. On your wireless PC Card, it should work easily after you install the drivers(if it does not automatically detect it anyway).

Well I have the router working now. Its working great. However, now I can't get the PC card to work all the time. It will connect. Then once I disconnect it, it won't connect again...grr. It won't renew the IP address, and rebooting doesn't work either.

I'm sure it is something rather simple..but I can't find it :disgust:
