Linksys BEFW11S4 question

I checked the DHCP Clients table today and there are 3, maybe 4 MAC addresses that I don't recognize. I had 128-bit WEP enabled and left MAC filtering off for a couple weeks because my friend living directly below had problems getting on (I just re-enabled it). My ? is, does this mean they all were able to connect to my router and access the Internet (and worse my LAN)? Or does it mean they just attempted to sign on? My apartment complex just got 802.11b service available (I'm on Cox cable though) so there are quite a few people with WiFi around here. Thx

Crap...I just realized WEP isn't working properly on my router. When I leave blank fields for the network key I can still access the internet/local network. Not sure what's up but at least the MAC filter works
