if u happend to encounter 'power' problems on the Linksys BEFSR41 Broadband router, check this out, the power adaptor is an AC-AC (220VACor110VAC to 9VAC), whereas if u look at the routers casing, there is a polarity indication (for DC)...but its really AC for the routers power input (quite confusing). Linksys now a part cisco, has to do something about this power input 'indication' on the routers casing...coz, one might plug a 9VDC on the unit, which could coz more damage

I've had a few BEFSR11's (same thing but single port) fry themselves because of faulty power adapters. The two I've got now now (from RMA"s) seem to be fine, and they've been on 24/7 for about the last year. Maybe they corrected the problem?

Could be. I have the 4 port BEFSR41 and it's been running 24/7 for over two years now. Haven't had a problem once.

I dont know if its power problems, but on my befsr11 I lose connectivity and sometimes the red Diag lite comes on. This happens virtually daily now, and is just over a year old. There still power to the unit tho.

have the BEFSR41 the power cable goin to the unit went (old rev. doesnt have power pack that plugs into wall, has power cable that plugs into pack then into router).....tried to find the part but no luck....so have a router that could be toasted or could be good but cant check cause linksys site doesnt sell parts
