I'm having trouble with my BEFSR41 v2, I assigned PC1 but I can't seem to get PC2 from getting into the router??? I can't get any connection from PC2!!

When I checked DHCP clients table, PC1 is there but not PC2.

I checked PC2 Local Area Connection Status, the address Type: is Automatic Private address, the IP address starts with 169.254.5.....!!!!, Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0, and the default gataway is 0

PC1: Address Type: Assigned by DHCP
IP Address: 192.168.1.xxx
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Default gataway:192.169.1.xxx

PC1 works, PC2 doesn't :(

Edit: Firmware 1.46.02

I have the same router but haven't really had that problem.....yeah check out the network card in pc 2, wires....etc, make sure all the options in pc2 are the same as pc 1? Could also try resetting the router by getting to the routers.....website? ip? ...but anyways it's http://192.168.1.1 for the linksys....check it out?

If it is easy to do, you should move your PC1 to where PC2 is to check the network connection. If PC1 works fine then your PC2 has problems.

emm.... maybe u can try this .... disconnect pc2 from router and then restart. After restart, plug in your cat cable into your pc2 and then try it out if that works.
