Linksys BEFCMU10, any good?

I am looking to get a cable modem, and have a few choices since my ISP is compatible with most brands of equipment. I found the Linksys to cost the least, and so I was wondering if anyone has this, and does it work well?

As for a general question, is there a major difference between the major brands (Motorola, Toshiba, RCA, Linksys) of cable modem as far as performance is concerned?
 
Back when I had cable... about a year ago now... I had a Motorola Surfboard modem. Never had a single problem with it.
