I am using this switch on my home network. The question is when I turn the computer(s) off the switch remains on, power lights, etc...
The switch doesn't have a power switch that I can see. Will it hurt the switch to leave it on like this 24/7? or should I unplug it?

one of my friends thinks that it will overheat or something and become a fire hazard because it doesn't have a power switch like external modems.
I think that he doesn't know what he is talking about.

It's ok to leave it on. I leave on my dsl modem all day. If it was a fire hazard, linksys would have made a switch.

i think it's because clent#2's network is a 10baseT, not 100.

problem:
no ip is assigned to client #2
