LINKS to Info on "flu season"

I swear I heard Dr. Drew say that Flu Season is in Feb/March or something like that. And that people should get flu shots in Oct, to help THEN, not now. And that people who got sick now mostly had just colds and other upper-respitory infections (he said that from oct-feb is cold/upper respitory season).

Does anyone know of a pointer to this information? Everyone talks about crap "going around" (I hate that crap...there's always germs going around) and how it's "bad this year" (maybe if people didn't take antibiotics for viral infections this wouldn't be a problem!) but I'm interested in actual medical information.

thanks.
