Why is it that when I click a link that someone places in a post, it will open in the current window? I'm sure they used to open in a new Window (which I definitely prefered). Is this a new 'feature'?

It happens to me sometimes too, but I think it's tied in to bringing AnandTech up in a window that was already opened up as new from a previous event (if that makes any sense :p).

OK snow patrol, I apologize. It just happened to me too. Very weird, I think you jinxed me. ;)

hehe, sorry. Well, I think it does look like a random thing. I think I must have just had 2 links in a row opening in the same window and wondered what the hell was up

confused - read what you said a couple of times and thought it was quite baffling, but kinda got the gist of it ;)

I agree, that icon looks a little menacing almost.

In general, I despise webmasters making decisions for me as to if I need a new window opened or not.

If I want to open a new window, I will right click on the link and click open in a new window. If I want to open something in an existing window I will simply click the link.
