Links and paranthesis?

I don't know if this used to be a problem before, but now, when I put a bare link into a post, then immediately put a closing parenthesis after it and post, the forum thinks the parenthesis is part of the link and includes it in the [L ][/L ]. I'm pretty sure this didn't happen before...

example: I'm going to put a link in parenthesis (http://www.google.com). The ) is included in the link and break the link. Fusetalk even puts a / after the parenthesis.
