Linking avi's into one avi file????

Ok first of all this is what my problem is. I have some .avi files I have 4 clips or a race, but it really sucks cos int he middle of the race I will have to goto another file to go and finish it, I was wondering if there is a program that would be able to link all 4 of my avi's into one smooth .avi file???
