Linear and threading view problem

When I go into a thread it is giving me the threading view, even though the linear view is selected. If I select a different view and then go back and choose linear, it is then displayed as linear. I checked this on two different systems, one XP and one 98, both using firefox, and it does the same thing.
 
UPDATE your profile 🙂 profile then personal options.... ensure its linear. THe drop down is NOT a permanent change it is a one time option to view a thread differently.
