Linear and threading view problem

When I go into a thread it is giving me the threading view, even though the linear view is selected. If I select a different view and then go back and choose linear, it is then displayed as linear. I checked this on two different systems, one XP and one 98, both using firefox, and it does the same thing.

UPDATE your profile profile then personal options.... ensure its linear. THe drop down is NOT a permanent change it is a one time option to view a thread differently.
