I just built a system based off the Chaintech ZNF3-150 motherboard and an AMD3200+ CPU.
I am having some problems with the onboard sound.
First, I hooked up the "Face plate" device that allows me to plug a microphone / headset into the front of the PC. The microphone part of this works (but it has line noise when recording! .. a buzz.. or whine..) but the audio out port only works with Winamp and even then it sounds like trash (Ventrilo will not play sound out this front port).
Anyone have any ideas? I've tried installing the newest drivers. I've looked around in the config for anything but have found nothing. The recording noise is the worst because I am usually using voice software when I play games and the buzz is really annoying my friends.
This board uses the ENVY24PT chipset.
I did not hook up the daughter board because I was using the front output panel the motherboard came with. Would unplugging the front output and using the daughter card fix any of this (anyone speaking wityh experience please).
Thanks for any tips.
