Also closing a lot of courts due to budget cuts.

And SF wants to make convicts a protected class and offer tax breaks to companies that hire felons.

I don't know about making them a protected class, but I believe there are many other states which offer incentives for hiring felons/ex-cons. Personally, I don't have a problem with that; if they can't find a job, that'll significantly increase the chances of recidivism. At the same time, companies that hire them do deserve some type of "bonus" for taking on the extra risk.

She's the spoiled rich daughter of a Wall Street multi-millionaire. She was shoehorned into those Disney movies to make daddy happy. She decided she liked Hollywood and once she hooked up with other spoiled rich daughters (Paris, et all) it was the sentence of doom for her.

I don't get it, she got a DWI like 3-4 years ago and she still is getting in trouble for that same incident. If CA would just lock her up for more then 4 days we could get his over with.

On the other hand what a great way to generate revenue. $100k bail posted in a few hours. Start hunting down all the other rich f ups and giving them nice big fines instead of TV air time and the US will be out of debt in no time.

I'd rather not see her in prison. There are way too effing many "non-violent offenders" in prison. People in on drug charges, etc. We have a serious problem in California with prison population and we need to be more selective about who goes behind bars and for what reason. Some little college hipster who gets busted for possession shouldn't be in jail.
 
I wonder why our country has so many problems when the media constantly rewards people for being dirty drunken whores with nothing to offer the world.

It is not the fact she is a threat; but the fact that she feels that she does not have to listen to the legal system.

thumbing your nose at the judge is not smart; she has yet to understand that.

Maybe if they took her out back of the woodshed and applied the strap, she would understand. But to some defenders here, that would be cruel and unusual punishment.

I get that my first statement was a little overboard, but still. The woman was busted for driving a rolling death machine while under the influence of an illegal substance and has on more the one occasion made it obvious she just doesn't give a fuck.

Every one has said we should just fine her ass into oblivion and while I don't disagree with that, the idea is that we should be teaching this person a lesson. Again, it's obvious she isn't and will continue to make destructive decisions and mommy, daddy, or some other sad excuse for a person will continue to bail her out.

It's frustrating to me that most of us can walk that straight line in life and do the right thing but we continue to see these "celebrities" get away with shit that us non-celebrities never would. If I continued to make the same mistakes she has, my parents would not hesitate to leave my ass in jail.

How sad is it that the CA jails are all just that full? Are the laws in CA just that strict people can't keep their noses clean or will I never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany?
