He is sick and feeling sick but otherwise okay. He is vaccinated and says he suspects he would be more sick if unvaccinated.

So no amoebic dysentery, no touch of pancreatic cancer?

Shucks, America loses again.

It’s fun/enraging to see these asshole come around and try to be responsible civic leaders after playing footsie with the anti-vaxx crowd for the last 6-8 months.

Haha.

And of course that troll is vaccinated.

Maybe he'll use the experience to encourage the other numbnuts in his party to do the same instead of believing wild, crazy stupid shit. Prolly not tho

Pretty sure him and the Turtle have been pro-vaccination since it became available.
Side note on the Turtle, he survived Polio(?) when he was a kid. He is a big supporter of shipping vaccines to places that cannot afford them.

You’re right, I read into this some and he’s not one of the ‘vaccine footsie’ people and has always been at least reasonably vocal in his support.

He said he had flu like symptoms on Saturday. Who knows how contagious he was then, and who knows how many people he’s infected since then.

A number of GOP senators are still refusing to acknowledge they took the vaccine as well.

You seem to be able to modify your gut instinct feelings in accordance with more developed information. What's with the lack of horror at making a mistake. You even seem to have gone out of your way to inform yourself. Thought I'd try to draw some attention to it for whatever reasons.

Yeah something I saw on TV awhile ago. Maybe PBS one of their profiles on courage or something.

Must have been some time ago. I'm not sure how much courage it takes to roll over for Trump so often, with such fervor, but I don't think it's much. Def not the man he used to be.

The man is one of the foremost enablers of people like Trump and Kavanaugh, and republicans don't do fair elections in the South, sooooo..... shit, I guess that leaves me standing by my previous sentiments of 'too bad he's still in the picture.' Sorry moon.

I'll be impressed when he starts correcting Ron Johnson and his other nutbag colleagues for longer than a day.

Miss Lindsay is always playing footsie with both sides. Eg Trump, 2020 election, and 1/6.

Hard against Trump until the election, then Trump humping up until the insurrection, then tries to distance from immediate shitstorm, then back to blocking any investigation or accountability.
It's a scam. Fvck that guy.

People make mistakes all the time and there’s no shame in admitting them. You’re right I should have looked into it more first, but, well, that’s why it’s a mistake.

True. It's just too bad that because he speaks out of both sides of his mouth, he's widely considered a clown, and I suspect that perception isn't limited to the left. Sure, they'll vote for him over a democrat, but I doubt too many people take his pronouncements seriously.

Personally, I don’t think I could ever reach an awareness state that would prevent me fully from making those kinds of mistakes, but you got feedback that caused you to question what you said checked into it and revised what you had to say. I only pointed that out because of what I saw in it. Yes, there should be no shame in making mistakes, but my point was not that you should have looked into it or have known better, but that you did look into it and revised your assumption.

You often engage in a battle of opinions with many here and are often accused of being a bigot or brainwashed idiot, etc, so I just wanted to mention to any of them reading this thread that I do not observe the same capacity you manifest in them.

Because you put truth and facts above any fear of being wrong, your opinions in such disputes of the types I mentioned carry for me personally far more weight than theirs.

Shame should not prevent us from admitting mistakes, but in the world I see, it all to often does.

Figured it was, struck me as from before McCain passed away. I think the current time frame is more telling. Specifically Graham mocking Senate Dems for wearing masks just 4 days prior to his announcement.
