that is a pretty stupid comment. Obvioulsy it is not meant for most savy linux users. It is meant for complete noobs (to both linux and/or computers in general).

From what little I have read, I think the newest version (4) wasn't supposed to be all that bad. Here is one review. Of course I have never tried any version of lindows so I couldn't give you a first hand account of it.

Sorry for the stupid comment. Anyway, for a disto for noobs, I believe Mandrake is better. I highly doubt noobs of computers are going to specify which OS is running on their computer and most computers are running Windows. Also, noobs of computers are going to be upset when the software they bought at BestBuy won't work on their new computer that they got at wallmart. They will probably blame linux for not working correctly and will spread the word.

Wow it got a 9 out of 10 for it's final score. I'd say it's not as bad as most people think. Hell I even saw a glowing MSNBC review of the latest version as well.

I wonder how many of you that blast Lindows have actually tried it, particularly version 4? I would bet that most have not. Lindows IMO is one of the few Linux distros that I have used where everything actually works right "out of the box" it is very user friendly no doubt and maybe not a true "geek" OS but it works and works good.

Geeze I like how people make these comments without trying the darn thing. Lindows 4 has better hardware support than Mandrake or RedHat. Lindows is quite easy to use but they offer a service to install the software for you and shows up on their L-menu.

I think I wrote a better in-depth review of Lindows 4 which can be read at Here

I say its a pretty easy OS to learn although like I said it should've included Open Office as part of the package.
