They are not really a reliable car. Dont get me wrong, some of them are great, but the majority of them have "quirks" that only a dealership with the computers can fix.
I was seriously contemplating buying one before getting my maxima. The icing on the cake was when I wanted to take one home for the night and some security key thingy in the steering column wouldnt allow the car to start.
They had to hook a computer to it to release a code so it would start (or something like that)
They said it has happened to 4 of the cars on their lot... hmmmm
Aside from that, I joined a lincoln ls owners forum and others have had other weird electrical issues. The two that I did drive were both automatics and both lagged terribly from when I pushed the gas to when they decided to go.. Great looking cars, handled well, but need to be babied constantly. There's a reason they have a 5 yr, 60k mile warranty. They need it.
