Limiting CD Drive to 1x

Hi guys im Running XP pro and i have a scratched second UT CD that can only be read at 1x how do i limit my generic 52x cd rom to 1x so it can read it ok? Thanks

Not sure, but i think if you DL the Nero Trial version, it comes with that.

Its in german but usage is very straight forward. Just select the drive then the speed and you're done. Best thing is: IT'S FREE!

I have one the problem is the CD cant be read from at high speed and i cant limit it
