I have a Celeron 400 (o/c to 500). I was thinking about getting a Geforce2 MX when available. Is my cpu going to limit the video card's fps output in games like Q3?
 
Your CPU is going to be a major bottleneck with a GF2, even the MX. Not that it won't be playable, but it just won't be using the full potential of the GF2.

It should do fine for Q3A. I have a cely333 and geforce1 sdr and get 45-50fps in quaver 1024x768 (i think, might've been 800x600). But yeah, the CPU will hold you back, but for q3a I wouldn't worry about it...
 
I've got a C533@600 and a V3 3000 and my CPU's already limiting me...mostly its the FSB. Even my old C300a@450/464/504 performs better than the 600 with the same everything else.
