Hi. My Limewire as well as Kazaa will not connect for some reason. It used to but doesnt anymore. I thought maybe someone had changed my router settings so i plugged the internet directly into my computer and still no go.

i do not use a firewall, both hardware or software so i am really stumped as to why my limewire or kazaa will not connect

does anyone have any ideas? maybe does anyone know of a program that can trace whats blocking my limewire.. because on the little icon down the bottom right of limewire, it has the picture of a firewall meaning that a firewall has been detected

any ideas would be great thanks

Is this the same computer that was having random spurts of virus attacks?

Yes it is the same computer, but I have just recently done a fresh install of windows and the system is completely up-to-date. I have done many virus scans includingn the online one and my system is apparently virus free.

But with the virus thing.. I am still occasionally getting the messages saying I have a virus but then it says its been deleted so I am unsure on this. If anybody could help me with any of these problems I would greatly appreciate it

I tried to help you last time but you never came back to work with me on it. If you want a hand, we can resume your other thread. Basically, if you're playing with P2P, then that's probably where the viruses are coming in the door and VirusScan is stomping them flat as they come in. The info I requested in the other thread will help confirm/deny whether that's the case.
