I have win2k server already installed on my computer that consists of two maxtor 20gig HD's running on my onboard ata66 controller. I installed redhat 7.2 which is not difficult. It's just that when I select LILO as the boot loader and want it to write to the mbr on HDE (my primary win2k drive) LILO will not come up. I can still boot with a disk, but I hate that because it's slow. The installation is there and it works fine, but no matter what, I can't get LILO to install. Thanks.

Why not try using the win2k bootmanager? Its not quite the same look and feel but can work just as well.

I was having the same problem getting Vector Linux to install LILO into the MBR of my Windows Drive (HDE). It kept trying to install it to HDA, which isn't there, and gave me an error as a result. No option to get it to look for the MBR on another drive, so I just went with the Win boot manager.
