LILO and Win NT boot loader

I have installed Linux on a Compaq Deskpro (PIII 866MHz, 128MB RAM, 20GB HDD) which already had Win NT4 installed and running.

I want to uninstal Linux (current RedHat 7.1), but how do I restore the Win NT loader? Oh, I forgot to say I screwd up linux twice while trying to compile a new kernel with parallel CDRW support... so there is no more boot.0300 file to use to restore the MBR!!!

I´m new to Win NT4, so I don´t know how to fix it (I know that fdisk/mbr won´t be helpful at all).

It is completely impossible for me to make a new fresh install of Win NT4 (for certain operative reasons, it would be very risky :Q )

Any suggestion??

Thanks

You could possibly put the WinNT cd into the drive, go back into the setup and ask it to repair itself. It might ask for a repair disk and not go on without this. But I think you can ask it to just check a few things, perhaps this will re-instate the Boot Loader??

Indeed there is no quick "fdisk /mbr" equivalent command to run..Regards
