Well for Christian rappers, it isn't just about music.

Benjah isn't unknown but he isn't real big. Of course I would be surprised to find wikipedia pages on half the Christian hip hop artists.

I know. I have several of Lecrae's albums. I like his music. I don't like the "Jesus" every 30 seconds.

I listen to a lot of Christian music that can be interpreted many different ways...more the members are Christians but not the band. I like music like above though when they put their own tune to things.

It's more like "don't like a tv show, don't watch it..."

not going for slippery slope. pointing out that ignoring things that you don't like is fucking dumb. especially when it goes past 'not liking' to 'the corruption of a generation that will eventually end this country with their stupidity.'

nah, you're just taking what i'm saying too topically.

i know every generation says it about the next...and frankly my age kinda straddles a couple gens depending on definition, i'm in my 20's but associate most with those in their 30's, except for a select few friends from school.

classism will kill us. this isn't like i'm fighting the harlem rennaisance- i'm fighting quite the opposite, i.e. shitty arts and entertainment completely retarding the youth of today.

edit: also, you realize hyperbole goes both ways, right? frankly most of the awful shit i say feels like an understatement...

At work, I'll have to check out some of these links later. And for what it's worth, I know there is better rap out there, but the problem is most of it was made 15 years ago.

I grew up on 2pac, No Limit stuff (Master P, Tru, etc), old Cash Money stuff (BG, Hot Boyz, etc), Wu Tang, Dre, Mobb Deep, Snoop, Nas, Biggie, all kinds of shit. Unfortunately times have changed and rap, for the most part, has too. Yeah you still have Jay Z, Taleb and other standouts like Tyler the creator.

Anyway, like Wayne since I heard him on the old cash money stuff.

I say that as in he's not the typical shit you hear right now, like lil wayne, gucci mane, new boyz, soulja boy, etc.

Is he as good as Jay-Z, of course not, be he is different at least.

I have yet to buy it as I haven't heard much about it.

I am however playing "Sorry for the wait" over and over and over. Love it.
