I have a qx6700 and I want to have the multiplier changed to 12 no fsb changes or anything like that I am just changing the multiplier. Should I increase the voltage to a certain voltage or just leave in on auto. My specs if you need are in my sig.

if it's unlocked your mobo should let you change it as you please.

you can use Auto Settings, but when i did that with mine it automatically increased the c.volt and ... it was not such a good idea, so went to manual mode, and set the c.volt to what i wanted.

You might need to up the core voltage, you might not.
Set it to auto. If it increases the voltage, check your CPU is stable and then try setting it manually to lower values.
If it doesn't increase the voltage, then check your CPU is stable, and then change the voltage up if it's not.

You might need to change the voltage, you might not, but you might as well leave it on auto and see what happens. You can always adjust it if you need to afterwards.
