Likelihood of 4 ghz on air with a P4C

How many people out there have a capable P4C that will do 4 ghz? Are the chances of hitting 4 gigs better with a socket 478 Prescott? I've seen a few people at overclockers and xtremesystems getting 4 ghz on a Pressy air cooled, but they have to have tremendous power supplies and motherboards.

I have two 3.6ghz's that run at 4ghz with no issues... Both run on Abit AS8 (i865 chipset) motherboards. One is using a 300w Sparkle PSU, and the other is a Lite-On 250w PSU.

I'm looking for Northwoods on socket 478, not socket 775 Prescotts.

It's really luck that determines your OC results. I think wingznut wanted to point out that even a small PSU can power a 4ghz P4 sufficiently.

To my knowledge, the 3.2C and 2.8C are the best overclockers. Northwoods are almost guarenteed ~250fsb with some voltage increase, so 250*16=4000mhz, I would try the 3.2C chip.

EDIT: P4E processors run hot, but if you want to get a prescott look for the newer core revisions.
