WTH do we need that kind of ram in video cards for? Most new games only "require" 32MB... meaning they'll play good on 64 and great on 128.

I can't imaging game companies are going to jump on this band wagon of producing games with so much graphics in them people will be "required" to have minimum of 128MB vid cards... and recommend 256-512.... not in 5 or 6 years at least.

That's just a BOAT LOAD of graphics man!!!

Of course, with the popularity of MMOn-Line games... it opens the doors for more customizable characters??

Who here would BUY a 512MB video card?

I don't see a need for it. But I'm sure that as soon as they are relased. There will be the same crowd saying that BF1942 just won't run on their computer without 512mb vidcard and 4gb ram!

And this is just my $0.03

Your change--- $0.01

I'm not going to point any fingers, but some applications are just downright inefficient when it comes to memory management. Ok, I'm going to say Unreal 2. For the graphics and look, its nowhere close to some of today's other FPS games.

You overpaid. :)

edit: I agree with your statement. M4H or someone previously stated how this issue was merely just preparing for the eventual need.

At some point we will all be laughing at this post the way we now laugh at the above quote.

You know Bill Gates never really said that.....I did a report on him and was reading a interview and he said he never said that and that it angers him...
