Did the guy ever post pictures. I mean seriously. $1/pie IIRC pies came a hundred a box (give or take) with several boxes on hand. He'd have to shell out probably $500 to buy "Every" pie in the place.

RTFA. It says they only had 23 pies at that location.

Regardless, this guy is just an asshole. "Oh! I going to be spiteful because I can!" I mean, I get it, I hate kids more than anyone and bad parents should be put down; but, this entire story is just stupid. A kid was being loud around you? Oh no! Poor baby! I'd hate to be his neighbor if I had a barking dog. I bet he is the type that would kill it.

I went to a McDonalds once with my father and we were told, and this is a direct quote, "we ain't got cheeseburgers". My father, being the rational, levelheaded person he is, flew off the handle at the guy. Needless to say, we went to Taco Bell after.

Then he lucked out and happened upon the perfect storm of a store that just happens to be almost out of all 4 kinds of pies. Even if it was one kind of pie that the kid had to have, guarantee the store had a case in the back. They keep damn near forever so stocking them isn't a big deal.

I'm not calling the guy an outright liar, but the possibility of the situation is pretty rare.

And I can't read the article because someecards.com is blocked here. So I have to take the OP's word for it.

Being that this was posted on reddit, I am calling the guy and outright liar. It is likely the only portion of his post that rings true is that he went to Burger King.

If you ever want a real laugh concerning bad writing abilities and a complete lack of understand of the opposite sex, go read the subreddit dedicated to real sexual encounters, notably those written in the female perspective. They are almost always 100% fake and written by a man.

It's very hard to believe there were only 23 pies at a given location. It's likely they just had 23 prepared at that moment. Even if the story is true, which I doubt, he didn't do jack shit. In the time it takes a kid to order and eat a burger they could have fried up 100 more pies.

Burger King doesn't fry pies, that's McDonald's. I've actually prepared both in my lifetime. Burger King pies are all frozen so preparing them is basically taking them out, putting a date sticker on the bottom and then letting them thaw.

Pro-Tip: Their pies are far better frozen than thawed.

It sounds like it was a food court location rather than a stand-alone store. In which case I could certainly believe they didn't have a ton of pies in such a small place.

Yeah, there really isn't anything different about operating a food court location compared to a stand alone store. You still stock appropriately for your client base and in general you have the same amount of room as a stand alone store you just share your lobby with other businesses and don't have to operate a drive-thru. At all of the BK locations I worked for the lobby was always 3x+ the size of the kitchen. The kitchen really doesn't have all that big of a footprint. Once you remove the bathrooms, lobby, drive-thru, there isn't much left.

Who on this planet asks the cashier "who bought them all?!" when they are out of something and just what were they planning to do with that information? FAKE.

I have been to a McDonald's before where only one or two pies were left. This is usually at night though.

I only like BK's whoppers and onion rings. McD's does have some damn good pies though

If you like Burger King's abominable "onion rings" then you don't have an opinion worth sharing.

That's because McDonald's actually cooks theirs. Wait time is 20 or so minutes for fresh. BK, however long it takes to thaw.

Straight out of the fryer with fresh oil, damn they are good. But yeah, sometimes they are allowed to sit too long which is surprising considering there is only a 1 minute cook time on them.
